After-school Programming at The Brashear CARES Center
Does your child need a little extra help with homework? Are you looking for fun after-school activities? Brashear offers broad education and enrichment programming year round for youth in grades K-12.
In the afternoons, The Brashear CARES Center will be full of activities for the entire family, creating a warm and welcoming home-away-from-home environment. Families can enjoy a prepared meal together though The Family Table, during which parents will also have the opportunity to learn more about available resources while their students work on homework or play indoor and outdoor games.
Brashear's partners through Duquesne University's School of Education will be available for tutoring and homework support. This program is designed to set up customized 1-on-1 tutoring sessions for kids of all ages.
Enrichment activities are offered with partners Venture Outdoors, STEM Coding Lab, the Creating Peace Project, and Strong Women, Strong Girls.
-
Venture Outdoors will offer a variety of indoor STEM activities for Grade 2-Grade 7.
