Utility Assistance Program

Brashear's Utility Assistance Program helps individuals, who meet eligibility income requirements, gain access to grants and utility payment assistance options. Our partners include Dollar Energy Fund, PA Department of Human Services, and outside referral resources.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, assistance is currently offered through virtual and over-the-phone interactions. When needed, individuals can schedule in-person meetings with Brashear staff at various locations, including the Neighborhood Employment Center, the South Side office, and the Brashear CARES Center. Please call 412-431-2236 or 412-390-3588 for more information.

Emergency Rental Assistance Program

Brashear's Neighborhood Employment Center is currently open as a drop-in center for individuals and families to apply for Allegheny County's Emergency Rental Assistance Program. This program can provide up to 15 month's worth and rental and utility assistance for those have been financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
